Trust in a Zero-Trust World

We all see the headlines and probably know colleagues, friends, and family who have been directly affected by cybercrime. And we know we likely need to do more to protect ourselves and our businesses. But how do you know who to trust? As business owners and managers, we’re constantly left worrying if the people we put in charge or if the solutions we chose are the right ones.

Establishing trust is the first thing we have to do when working with clients. Our clients need to have faith in our expertise, professionalism, the tools we’ve chosen and that we’ll be there when they need us most. Questions we often address are:

  • What are you going to do if our systems become compromised?
  • How are you protecting my company and investors?
  • Do you use the products you sell to protect your own systems?

These questions are rooted in the desire to understand what it is that we do at Ihloom.  Our homepage says it best: “Ihloom is your cybersecurity partner, helping you stay secure and compliant, simply and cost effectively. We work with businesses to help protect and monitor their technology and respond to emerging cybersecurity threats.”

To answer the above questions more directly:

  • What are you going to do if our systems become compromised?
    • We “can’t stop, won’t stop!” until we help you mitigate the compromise, understand what happened, and advise you on how to prevent it from happening in the future.
  • How are you protecting my company and investors?
    • We protect your company by helping you understand your risks in an internet-connected world, planning for business continuity / disaster recovery, and ensuring any residual cyber security risks are acceptable to your senior management
    • If your company is funded by investors in any capacity, they of course want you to be successful and provide a return on their financial investment. If a security incident – ransomware, fraudulent wire transfers, loss of intellectual property, etc. – wipes out their investment, they won’t be happy.
  • Do you use the products and services you sell to protect your own systems?
    • Of course! We do not recommend anything we don’t use ourselves.

We pride ourselves on providing customized solutions to meet our clients’ needs and architecting security programs that meld modern-day best practices with the need to satisfy both legally required and voluntary compliance requirements.  We will also ensure you understand what you are purchasing and make sure it is implemented properly at the onset and support throughout the lifecycle of the systems we are protecting.

We don’t take your money, give you a bunch of software, and wish you the best of luck.

If you’d like to experience for yourself what makes Ihloom different, feel free to reach out and let us know how we can help.  Experience for yourself how we are the brighter way to protect your business.
